Let's go! After years of planning, the team that will play at Tidewater Landing finally has a name. The United Soccer League Championship unveiled the name and logo for its newest team in Rhode Island, and the club will be called Rhode Island FC.
RIFC will be the state’s only professional sports team that is independently affiliated with Rhode Island. With rich history of the sport that dates back to the 1800's, RIFC has the opportunity to grow fast and fiercely.
The crest and logo features themes of the state, including RI colors, the anchor symbol, and the connections to the water and Ocean State.
The team will debut in 2024, and we're excited for it's launch! Little throwback from the House Enterprise world, but two years ago we had on Brett Johnson, the founder of this team, to talk about the future of soccer in the state.
