BBBbets: Brackets may be busted, but the bets live on. Best Bets for the Saturday slate

That's right it is, Jon. In nearly two years, the greatness of March returned and the Big Dance is back. Oh, how we've missed the madness. It has been quite the start thus far. #14 Colgate almost gave #3 Arkansas a scare. Three games headed to OT. Then there was OSU. The biggest upset of them all goes to the Buckeyes. THE Ohio State University, a two seed, lost to Oral Roberts (who?). That's college basketball for you.

According to CBS, Less than 1% of brackets remain perfect after Oral Roberts, Oregon State upset wins. But let's be honest though, nobody is going to have a perfect bracket. Nobody has ever had one either. The closest ever happened in 2019 by a guy named Greg Niegl, who stayed perfect through 39 games. Now that's impressive, but is it more impressive than being on an absolute gambling heater throughout the entire tourney? You be the judge of that.

March Madness is one of the biggest gambling holidays of the year. Even though the board was bloody yesterday, I faired well for the common man (21-12). If you're looking for inspiration, here are some best bets for the Saturday games.

"Locks"

Is anything truly a lock anymore? Knock on wood for Gonzaga and other top seeds. I’m feeling good on this side of the bracket and I can say in certainly that I‘m all about the Big East right now. I am riding the Ewing hot hand and hammering Georgetown +6. Colorado doesn’t stand a chance with the pressure that has been put on them. I’m bullish on UConn, Dan Hurley, and James Bouknight. Heading into the rest of the matchups, Drake is getting a lot of buzz, FSU is one of the countries favorite four seeds, and who’s going to get into Iowa’s way? With Saturday‘s slate quickly approaching, I’ll dive a little bit deeper tomorrow but here is who I feel confident in.

· Creighton ML (-340)

· Georgtown +6 (-110)

· Florida State -10.5 (-105)

· Iowa -14.5 (-110)

· LSU -1.5 (-110)

· Kansas/EWU u146 (-110)

· Kansas -10.5 (-110)

· Texas -8.5 (-110)

· UCLA ML (+160)

· UConn -3 (-115)

· USC/Drake u135.5 (-110)

The rest of my board

· Oklahoma -1 (-105)

· Iowa/Grand Canyon o145 (-110)

· Ohio +7 (-110)

· Drake ML (+230)

· Oregon -5.5 (-230)

My Psycho Pick - Iona ML (+1000)

It's Rick Pitino's world, and we're just living in it! The Gaels and Crimson tide play a similar game, but Alabama does foul a lot and turns it over the ball a decent amount. If Iona can capitalize on that, we can see another 15-over-2 seed upset.
