A bump in the road to start the year reminded the Bulldogs that America East play won't be easy. Losses to Vermont and UMBC were humbling, but it was short term memory for the following week.
A new week and a new slate of games showed that Bryant has scorers from all throughout the lineup. We knew Charles Pride would be a go-to leader for this squad. He dropped 28/5/5 against Albany, but the man who brought the dominance was Antwan Walker, showcased his skill with a whopping 33 points and 11 rebounds verse the Great Danes.
That duo collected 29 points against New Hampshire, and yet another key offensive provider stole the headlines, as Sherif Gross-Bullock put on a show scoring 28 points. He fouled out of the contest, but as you can see, the Bulldogs have shooters from top to bottom. No matter what, the job gets done.
So as it stands, a 12-6 record, 3-2 in the America East, and 11 games to go. Next week brings an NJIT matchup at home, and a daunting trip to the first place UMass Lowell. If the Bulldogs can clean up the defense and remain consistent with the abundance of scorers, only time will tell what will be in store for them.
