And just like that, our little break of Bachelor content is over. Monday night's episode was the first of nine straight months of Bachelor-related content! I hope you are ready because you just lost your Monday night until March 2022.
Since this was the first episode, I am going to skip the Zoom call summary and break out this week's recap into highlights, my thoughts, and talk about this season's Bach Bracket!
The Highlights!
A group consensus with what my buddies who I watched with and what the media was saying were that this episode felt normal. It felt like your normal season premiere. There wasn't drama, just getting to know the guys. Some were instant fan favorites, and others were strange. One highlight that stood out was the co-hosts Tayshia and Kaitlyn.
I think they are going to be a fresh take to the host position. In recent seasons, the host has acted as the therapist to the leads. Now, I think they are going to be more friends to Katie and to the guys.
Another highlight was the resort. This season will be filmed in New Mexico! Will give more about the hotel and how the dates actually look there over the next couple of weeks.
The Gentlemen We Like
I apologize as I didn't really get their names, so I am going to do my best to describe them. For starters, Greg the first impression rose is someone who will go far. He really didn't do something crazy, but watching their interaction, it was obvious that Katie was interested in him. Other people we like are James the box guy, the football player with the fake British accent, and Matt the cat guy. Next week I will make sure to grab all the names of the gents but for this week I don't think anyone really caught their names.

Is This Season Going to Be Good?
From what the show is teasing, it doesn't seem like it will be a crazy season, and I think that is a good thing. The last couple of seasons have been a lot, and it has taken away from what this show is. I am hopeful that this season is more of our standard season, with a few twists/bumps throughout. If you are someone who doesn't want to watch for two hours every day, feel free to read my recaps because I will make sure you know everything you need to know.
