DMV Star of the Week - Brendan Adams AGAIN!!

Every week, across several sports, players around the DMV shine in individual performance. Every Monday, I’d like to take a minute to highlight some of those performances, including what I view as the best performance and name that athlete the “DMV Star of the Week.”

This week’s DMV Star of the Week is George Washington guard Brendan Adams.

This is Adams’ second time winning DMV Star of the Week. Following a tough loss on Wednesday to George Mason, the Colonials went on the road and won a thriller in overtime over St. Bonaventure, 83-81.

In that game, Adams scored 28 points, adding 7 rebounds and 4 assists, shooting 8-12 from the field, including 4 three pointers.

GW has just four games to play before the Atlantic 10 tournament tips off in Brooklyn, NY. The Colonials have Adams and James Bishop, two of the more prolific scoring duos in the country.

As long as Adams and Bishop are cooking, George Washington is dangerous in March.

The DMV saw seven teams in action this past week, including the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, and the Georgetown, George Washington, Maryland, American and Howard basketball teams.

Here are some honorable mention performances for DMV Star of the Week:

  • Capitals defenseman Erik Gustafsson had 3 assists in Thursday’s loss to the Florida Panthers

  • Wizards guard Bradley Beal scored 30+ points twice this past week, including a 33 point performance in the loss to Golden State and a 35 point game in the win over Minnesota
