Week 4 picks, the first COVID-19 outbreak, and league activity

Week 4 and we have a dumpster fire of a Thursday Night Football game. The 0-3 Broncos head over to MetLife Stadium to take on the 0-3 Jets. You gotta believe the Broncos are gonna get their first win tonight, no? Denver is 2-1 against the spread, which is currently 1 point. Our Gambling Expert, Sam Basel, says to hammer the under at 40. No shot these teams combine for that number. But enough about that, let's look at who may be some viable options to add to your team for this week.
News Around the NFL / Waiver Wire
We expected that this would happen. The first COVID-19 outbreak appeared in the NFL, after the Titans vs. Vikings game. On Tuesday, the Titans said three players and five other personnel tested positive for the coronavirus. According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, a fourth Titans player learned Wednesday that he tested positive. The NFL has moved the game to a later date. No word yet on if the Vikings have had any cases or if their game will be postponed as well. Now, this throws a wrench into your lineups if you have any Steelers / Titans personnel. Here are some quick waiver wire adds that can be suitable replacements.
If you have Big Ben or Ryan Tannehill, don't sleep on guys like Ryan Fitzpatrick (Dolphins), Derek Carr (Raiders), and Teddy Bridgewater (Panthers). All three of these quarterbacks are rostered by no more than 15% of leagues. All can put up at least 15 points for you. The one that sticks out the most would be Fitzmagic. Another name to consider can be found in Chicago. Nick Foles has now moved himself up the pecking order and is the starting QB for the 3-0 Bears.
Heading over to the RB's, losing out on Derek Henry and James Conner is tough. Jeff Wilson Jr. (49ers) will most likely see more playing time with the continued injury absence from Coleman and Mostert. Both Lions RB's, the rookie D'Andre Swift and the vet Adrian Peterson, could be flex options on the fly.
With no JuJu and AJ Brown, who can you turn to? Hunter Renfrow of the Raiders is starting to pick up the pace, after 84 yards, and 1 TD performance last week. Anthony Lazard of the Packers and Justin Jefferson of the Vikings are two guys that are gaining traction. Expect both to increase their stats as the season progresses.
Tight Ends are tricky. Greg Olsen (Seahawks) is someone who can take a look at if available. He put up 12 in Week 1, followed by a goose egg in Week 2, and then 11 last week. The Cowboys have a lot of offensive weapons, but Dalton Schultz is a perfect player to plugin if you need a quick add.

League Activity
It was a somewhat quiet week for the waivers. Going down the list, with the Steelers/Titans game being postponed, Tondo needed to fill holes at RB and D/ST. He dropped newly Giants, Devonta Freeman, and picked up this leagues journeyman, Darrell Henderson Jr. He had back to back weeks with at least 19 points, so Will hopes he can do the same. While holding onto the Steelers #2 ranked defense, Tondo dropped another Giants player (Darius Slayton) and picked up the Broncos against the Jets for the week. Hanold had an extra spot on his bench and decided to add the Patriots RB, Rex Burkhead, who had a phenomenal 35 point performance last week. Ben Allen said sayonara to Carson Wentz, and added the Rams defense who will play a struggling Giants this week. Zimmer grabbed Dolphin's most consistent back, Myles Gaskin, who has netted at least 10 points the past three weeks. Basel swapped Kickers, drooping Chris Boswell of the Steelers for Texan's Ka'imi Fairbairn. Another QB hit the waivers, as ClubFootJim dropped Big Ben Roethlisberger for Bears TE, Jimmy Graham.
Matchups
Bennett Allen looks to remain undefeated, while Boston Beers seeks his first win. The same goes for Tondo against Ford, 3-0 vs. 0-3. Sam Basel faces off against James, and Zimmer is playing Mastrianni. Hanold gets the bye for the week.
Week 4 Selections
From the looks of it, everyone is sold on the Buccaneers, Seahawks, Cowboys, Ravens, Rams, Cheifs, 49ers, and Packers. You know for a fact that one of these teams is going to take the loss, but who will it be?
