Week 4 Review, COVID-19 league update, fantasy high scorers, and pickem/fantasy leaders

Roger Goddell actually made it happen. With all of the sudden COVID-19 cases that appeared, I thought that this week was going to be a wash. But thankfully we had 15 games and only postponing one. Monday gifted us two playoff baseball games and two fun to watch football contests. Thoughts and prayers to all of those guys that caught the virus. Hopefully, they are asymptomatic and recovering fastly and safely.

From top to bottom, Week 4 was exciting to watch. There was a multitude of high scoring matchups. We saw Joe Burrow land his first NFL win, OBJ return to stardom with three touchdowns, and the Bills, Packers, and Chiefs remaining perfect through four weeks. Heading over to fantasy, if you had these on your team, you probably were quite happy with their performances.

Week 4 MVP's

- QB: Dak Prescott (Cowboys)

502 yards passing, 4 TDs, 1 INT. 12 yards rushing; 37.2 points

- RB: Joe Mixon (Bengals)

151 yards rushing, 2 TD. 6 catches, 30 yards receiving, 1 TD; 42.1 points

- WR: Odell Beckham Jr. (Browns)

5 catches, 81 yards, 2 TD. 73 yards rushing, 1 TD; 38.4 points

- TE: George Kittle (49ers)

15 catches, 183 yards, 1 TD; 40.1 points

- D/ST: Chiefs

2 sacks, 3 interceptions, 1 fumble recovery, 1 TD, 10 points allowed: 20 points

- K: Sam Ficken (Jets)

5/5FG, 1 XPM: 18 points

The Matchups

The highest scorer of the week goes to Bennett, with 157.94 points. He routed Ryan Densen by almost 80 points to remain perfect while keeping Ryan to get his first pick. Zimmer beat Mastrianni 123 to 102. Sam Basel headed into MNF with a tie, but DeVante Adams remaining out, he lost to ClubFootJim by 20. Tondo has let to lose, and Ford has yet to win, after a 130 to 93 matchup.

Week 4 Picks

A unanimous pick(s) have let us down again. Cowboys and 49ers both blew it in the 4th quarter. Three brave soles bet the Jets. Nobody knows why. Mastrianni had the best performance of the week, going 11-4 after bold selections with the Vikings, Panthers, and Colts. Hanold holds 1st place by 4 games. We now have a 5-way tie for 2nd. The last-place finisher is only 4 games out from the 2nd place slot.
