Last-second offsides by the Giants defense cost the team its first win. That one hurt.

I'm sick. That win was locked up. Words hurt. This stinks. 0-2 for the fifth straight season. John Mara, wake up!

What a tease, what a disappointment. The streak stays on. The wrong one. Daniel Jones is 0-5 on primetime games.

The other streak died. Daniel Jones suffered his first loss against Washington. I cannot believe how that just ended. Washington missed the kick to win the game, but Dexter Lawerence cost it with offsides. Take two, and Hopkins nails it.

CJ Board holds cost another TD run for Jones. Slayton catches that ball, they would've won. 11 points left on the board. Brutual.

Washington 30, Giants 29

Graham Gano will go down as one of the best signings in recent years for the Giants. That man is lights out. Free points every time. This will ease the pain tonight.

Key Takeaways

Daniel Jones. Yes.

Danny Dimes looked poised. Cool, calm, collected. He took some hits, but he played well. Very well. It was a sight to see and happy with his performance. As should many Giants fans. Danny Wheels should be his new nickname, as he's becoming one of the top rushing quarterbacks in the league (hot take). For the second week in a row, he rushed for a touchdown, tallying

YOU LOVE TO SEE THAT.

His O-Line let Chase Young at him, and receivers dropped some balls, but DJ reinstalled my confidence. I am not ready to give up on this lad. I believe he can still be a great QB.

Jason Garrett adjustments save him for now

His success relies on this man, and I will say, I liked how the offense looked. They utilized the players, spread the ball around, and scored. That's all we're asking for at the moment. The offense generated

Didn't love the Golladay screaming match on the sidelines with Jones, but I get his frustrations, it was a tight game. Sterling Shepard seems to be the guy, and I'm loving it so far. They still need to find the key that unlocks Kadarius Toney, but week by week.

Saquon slowly back on track

His snap count raised but it's slow and steady for Saquon Barkley. He's still getting his feet wet, but it's looking brighter on the other side. He ended the night with 13 carries for 57 yards, and a catch for 12 yards. Baby steps.

The woes of the O-Line

With Shane Lemeuix out with an injury, Billy Price took over the center duties and Nick Gates swung back to his guard position. The worst occurred, and Gates was taken out with a gruesome leg injury. We don't know the details but you know it's serious when the air cast and stretcher comes out. Prayers up to the captain.

Chase Young took advantage of the opportunities.

Other than that, Daniel Jones had plenty of time in the pocket, and the run blocking was excellent. The biggest killer of the night was the penalties. The dagger was back-to-back false starts in the fourth quarter with a slight lead is just unacceptable. Big adjustments need to be made in the next few days.

The defense needs some sharpening

The penalty bug was in full force this evening. Dexter Lawrence blew it in the final second. A neutral zone infraction in the closing minute... are you kidding me? Pass interferences galore.

Another week, the Giants defense is making mediocre quarterbacks look like MVP candidates. Over 300 yards for Taylor Heinicke?! Not what we needed to see. The pass rush is still reserved. Azeez Ojulari has been a gem, but everyone else has been so-so. It's good to see a good ole' Bradberry interception. Called that one earlier today too. The secondary is lost. The coverage isn't there. Giving up short routes with soft zone and almost NO resistance against the run, easy TD's for Washington every time.

Next Game

I don't know. Slight improvements but heartwrenching loss. Whatever. Joe Judge and Patrick Graham need to take a long look in the mirror after this one. Some positives, lots of negatives.

The Giants will face the Falcons at the Meadowlands on the 26th. We don't know how serious the Nick Gates injury is, but wishing a speedy recovery. The Falcons took an L against the Eagles, and face the Bucs this week. Time to prep up for Kyle Pitts and Calvin Ridley.
