Mark your calendars! Shaheen Holloway and the Seton Hall Pirates take on Saint Peters November 12th.

Located less than 12 miles apart, two New Jersey schools are set to meet at the Prudential Center for the first time since 2017.

Although the brief hiatus, the two universities have battled it out 20 times since 1997. It's been a lopsided affair for the Seton Hall Pirates, who have a 19-1 record against the Saint Peter Peacocks.

This year, the matchup means so much more than a neighborhood meetup.

The new coach for Seton Hall is Shaheen Holloway, a name that is no stranger to the Pirates. The starting point guard back in 1996 to 2000, Holloway returned as an assistant in 2010, and built up his resume for 8 years at his alma mater.

On the flip side, Sha is no stranger to Saint Pete's either. He was the leader of the pack that took the underdog Peacocks dancing all the way to the Elite 8.

Now, his world will collide on a game that will obviously a hit for the locals of the Garden State. It will also be one of the easier matchups for Holloway and the Pirates. No disrespect to the Cinderella team, but they are no comparison to the reigning Champs Kansas and Big 10 powerhouses Iowa and Rutgers.

“The schedule is really hard, so we gotta get totally healthy and totally right." - Shaheen Holloway

If this isn't a must watch non-conference matchup and schedule, then I don't know what is. If the Pirates want to make some noise, then then they'll have to start in November. 81 days until College Basketball. The countdown begins.
