An early morning wake up call for some futbol. Giants vs. Packers in London. In solidarity, I opted for a cup a tea to start the day rather than coffee. Bold strategy, but it clearly paid off.
My fandom obviously created a bias, but I felt like the Giants were in the cards to win, especially after the Packers/Patriots game last week. But the "experts" were noting the obvious. Daniel Jones was coming off an ankle injury, plus a long laundry list of injuries. However, people forget that the Giants are elite across the pond. The GMen played in the first regular-season London matchup back in 2007 and are one of just four teams that have multiple wins and no losses in London.
I went with my gut, responsibly placed a wager on the Big Blue, and guess what.
King Charles better knight Daboll because this was just a masterclass performance on the pitch. Speaking of kings, Saquon Barkley, are you kidding me? The guy carried the offense behind his 106 combined yards. Despite banging up his shoulder, Barkley came back firing like a cannon. Absolute showmanship.
The story of the game and the reason the team secured the victory was the defense. They held Aaron Rodgers to 222 yards, and the running game went under 100. All the opportunities the Packers had to march down the field, Wink's defense kept it attainable. NAILS!
The defense won the game, but Daniel Jones deserves some credit too. Today, he was efficient. 21-for-27 with 217 yards. Danny Dimes, no, DANNY QUIDS! A bloody hand didn't stop him from taking hits and taking names. Honestly, he was the second coming of Harry Potter out there. Watch him cast some trickery on this play.
Jones is proving he can be the guy. He's been hurt, he has had no help from his premiere receivers, the Giants have been banged up, and guess what? They are 4-1. They just beat the No.1 AFC and NFC teams of last year. So why not us? Imagine when the team is fully healthy.
So that's enough excitement for me today. It's nice to have a win rolling into the 1pm slate of games.
HOLD THAT L PACKERS.

It doesn't get any easier for the Giants. They'll take on an AFC contender Ravens and MVP favorite Lamar Jackson. Baltimore has their fair share of injuries, and crazier things have happened. Do you believe in Daball and Team? I sure do. Let's go Giants!
