It was a meaningless loss, but it was a relaxing game to close out the season. Nothing to worry about, no injury concerns, and they made a Super Bowl favorite not look so dominate. All wins in my books.
Speaking of winnings, the Giants covered 14 points (and surprisingly almost came back and won), Davis Webb got some well deserved playtime, and Kenny Golladay FINALLY scored a TD at +475 odds (which was kinda low TBH). Less than two minutes until the regular season was finished and he finally scored his TD as a New York Giant. Just incredible.
I think the coolest part of the game came from the defensive front. The Giants reserve defense led by Rodarius Williams, Nick McCloud, and Micah McFadden held the NFL's number one red zone offense to just a 1-for-5 results in the endzone today. That's just incredible.
Would have it been cool to play spoiler on the Eagles, absolutely, but the focus has and always has been the playoffs. And it's time for Minnesota, the rematch...
To be honest, I feel very good about this. I wanted this for the first round. It's time to avenge what happened on Christmas Eve. A 60 yard walk off stung, and the Giants haven't forgotten. Also, the GMen are going to be fully healthy. Set to return is Adoree’ Jackson and Xavier McKinney, which is massive. This feels like a playoff showdown the Giants can come out on top of.
