For the first time since 2008, the The New York Giants are 7-2. Instead of celebrating with the members who provided us with this record, we have to dawn on the fact that Kenny Golladay provided more headaches then helpfulness.
Yesterdays performance? Two dropped passes and a 2nd half benching.
Season total? Two catches, 22 yards.
His response to getting benched for the second time this season is mind boggling. “It really doesn’t matter, I’m going to keep that comment to myself.”
Dude... you literally don't have a pot to piss in. Isaiah Hodgins just joined the team and had two catches for 41 yards. Golladay can't catch, run routes, he serves no purpose. An expensive paperweight.
I want to root for him. I want him to do well. It just ain't happening. I am giving him one final opportunity. Next week verse his old team. Show us why the Giants handed you the bag. Please. If not, the Giants need to figure out how they can defer his contract for a decade and cut him.
Enough of that rant, time to celebrate the good stuff. A sloppy win, but a win is a win.
Daniel Jones had a clean game, and generated some buzz with the offense. Darius Slayton has become indispensable, catching three passes for 95 yards and a TD. The star of the game is your league leader in rushing. Saquon Barkley performed another masterclass effort. 35 carries, 152 yards, and a touchdown. Perfection. He even stated he wants to be a Giant for life, so I can't wait until the team locks him in. The guy is the catalyst of the offense, the elite playmaker. You don't need a No.1 reciever when you have a Saquon.
What's crazy about this team is the help comes from all parts of the roster. The game was the supporting cast coming out party. Wide Receiver Isiah Hodgins had 2 catches for 41 yards. Tight End Lawrence Cager scored a touchdown. Cornerback Fabian Moreau had great coverage and made six tackles. Jaylon Smith was solid as the Mike LB. Jason Pinnock had 1.5 sacks and a TFL. Rookie Dane Belton had a huge fourth-quarter interception in the end zone. The success came from the unexpected.

Next Game
7-2 and next week, we got the Lions. Detroit knows how to string together some gritty wins (i.e. this past week), but the Giants are the far better team. Like I said, would love to have some Kenny G magic, but I am not counting on it. Let's keep the momentum going!.
