NFL 2024 Week 13 Recap, Week 14 Predictions

I'll be real, that was a much better Thanksgiving week than I thought we were gonna get. 12 games in Week 13 were decided by one possession, with more than half of those 12 decided within the last few plays of the game. With playoffs just around the corner, expect more action just like that throughout these next five weeks.
Week 14 Power Rankings

Team to Note
San Francisco 49ers (Dropped 4 spots)
The 49ers are in a free fall after dropping their last three games by a combined score of 37-93. With CMC and Jordan Mason out for the year - joining Brandon Aiyuk, Javon Hargrave, Talanoa Hufanga, Elijah Mitchell, Jon Feliciano, and Kevin Givens - this 49ers roster is down to the bare bones. I have full faith Isaac Guerendo will fill in nicely in the RB room, but the rest of the team is even thinner at more crucial positions. They finish their season against the Bears, Rams, Dolphins, Lions, and Cardinals, making any hopes for a playoff berth pretty slim.

Winners to Note
Nik Bonitto
For the second time in three weeks, Nik put up one of the best defensive performances on the season. He recorded 6 pressures and a sack on just 28 pass rush snaps, giving him a 21.43% pressure rate, and he snagged a pick six as well. His high-level play in the pass game gave him a 92.3 defensive grade, tied for 4th in the entire NFL in Week 13.
Bryce Young
Bryce has put on a passing clinic over the past two weeks. Although he didn't do great from a box score perspective, he still played at a high level. He dotted up the Bucs' defense with 4 big time throws and had 0 turnover-worthy plays, and he had an adjusted completion rate of 74.4% thanks to 3 drops. Additionally, he was sacked just once on 22 pressures thanks to his quick release. He tallied 298 pass yards, a TD through the air, and one on the ground, giving him one of the best outings of his young career.
Tarheeb Still
The Chargers rookie DB has earned more and more reps as the season has progressed, and now he's cashing in on them. The Maryland alum had the second highest defensive grade in the entire NFL in Week 13, as he recorded 2 INTs - housing one of them - and 1 PBU. He also was relatively lockdown, as he allowed 2 receptions on 5 targets for 67 yards - with a 60 yard reception in that mix. Besides that one play, he was stellar, and earned a 94.0 mark.

Week 14 Prediction
QB: Aidan O'Connell vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (proj. 13.9 points)
AOC put up a big time performance against a strong pass defense last week, so he should do even better against a bad pass defense. Don't be worried about Aidan's inability to make plays with his legs, his arm alone will put up a ton of fantasy points this week.
RB: Isaac Guerendo vs Chicago Bears (proj. 12.7 points)
If Isaac is still on waivers in your league, pick him up NOW! If you were somehow fortunate enough to scoop him up, he is a must-play this week - and for the rest of the year. In his only appearance with over 60% of snaps played, he put up 19.2 fantasy points on 17 touches. He'll get plenty more chances this week, and should be a starting option for the remainder of the season.
WR: Ladd McConkey vs Kansas City Chiefs (proj. 11.2 points)
Ladd should be projected for more points in my opinion. Since Week 8, he's averaging 16.83 points per game, and he hasn't scored any TDs since then. If he can add a TD to his box score this week, and keep that same production, he should be in for the best game of his young career thus far.
TE: Grant Calcaterra vs Carolina Panthers (proj. 5.8 points)
It looks as though Dallas Goedert will miss this week, so Grant will have to fill his shoes. When he's played more than 90% of snaps, he's averaging 9.17 points per game, all without scoring a TD. With a favorable matchup against the Panthers, Grant should haul in his first TD of the season and be a 15+ point candidate.
Flex: Elijah Moore vs Pittsburgh Steelers (proj. 8.4 points)
Since Jameis has taken over as the starter, Elijah has averaged 13.04 points per game, and he just had his best performance against a stout Denver defense. He did struggle against Pittsburgh in Week 12 with just 5.1 points, but now he'll have Cedric Tillman back on the field to help take away some attention.

Final Notes
As of now, the Chiefs and the Bills have clinched playoff spots, while the Giants, Jaguars, Patriots, and Raiders have been eliminated. Plenty more teams will clinch the playoffs, and plenty more will start building their draft boards as we approach the end of 2024.
