A blast from the past. On June 20th, 1975, the blockbuster movie 'Jaws', made it's way to theaters. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the movie tells the fictional story of a great white shark that terrorized a New England beach resort town. The movie was a blockbuster and became one of the highest-grossing film in movie history.
It also generated some great pop culture buzz for the state of Rhode Island, and the rich beer history in the Ocean State. If you notice in the movie, Captain Sam Quint, played by Robert Shaw, crushes a can of Narragansett lager to intimidate Richard Dreyfuss's character. The retro 1975 retro imagery became a focal point in American pop culture and created the movement, #CrushItLikeQuint
48 years later, and Jaws is still considered one of the greatest movies ever. 48 years later and I finally had my own #CrushItLikeQuint moment.
