Till Wondo reporting after a successful second season. There were whispers in the community that year one was a fluke. There were some early head coaching opportunities across the rival MAC teams and coordinator positions across the country, but the family decided that running it back was the best option.
We had a strong year-long recruitment stint, and then found or guy in Kiael Kelly out of Ball State in the transfer portal. He's a carbon copy of our Heisman Winner in Ogbonna - strong arm, scrambler, winner. Some are saying the TW system breeds quarterbacks, but that's what the streets are saying.
Any who, I am here to confirm... nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bulls. Year Two for us was one for the history books for the University of Buffalo.
Greatness all around. Ranked 12th in the nation, and a top-3 offense. Kelly landed the Heisman and got drafted. Perfect in the MAC, upset Clemson and Tulane in the College Football Playoff. Generated an excitement around the city of Buffalo for the first time in a long time.
There have been conversations of our head coach getting poached, and the chance for a promotion, but we have also recieved some phone calls from some big time programs ready to take a swing with the new kid on the block. Lots of decisions to make, but more to come.
