Start spreading the news, yes yes yes, and long live the king! The Yankees, Islanders, & Knicks win!

Twas a beautiful night inside the Tondo household, as all my New York allegiances won today. It feels good, and this shouldn't be a new feeling, but I am just happy that's all. It must've been something in the water today, but all three teams are cooking now.

The Yankees snap a five-game skid and defeat a talented Atlanta Braves squad. It wasn't the prettiest game, but it still counts in the win column.

Taillon had a decent night striking out five, and the bullpen remained perfect yet again. Gio Urshela, one happy fella, clobbered his second home run of the season, to get the team on the board. After a bases-loaded wild pitch that let the go-ahead run to score in the eighth inning, it was all smiles from there. Aroldis Chapman earned the save with a scoreless ninth inning, striking two and walking one. Ford, the Pride of Princeton, and the recent call-up sealed the deal with an awesome over-the-shoulder catch in foul territory for the game’s final out. Oh, how I missed John Sterling's calls to end the game.

How bout them Knicks?

WWWWWWW, that's seven straight wins!

Madison Square Garden is back to life and behind thousands of socially distant fans, the Knicks kept their streak alive, and the momentum is fully rolling. The Knicks defeated the Hornets 109-97, and Thib's magic touch is still hot. RJ Barrett erupted in the third quarter, securing the dub for the team. He finished the game with 24 points and 4-4 beyond the arc. DRose dropped 18 points on 8 of 12 shooting off the bench, returning back to form, and the defense has been lockdown per usual. The Knicks now have a 32-27 record. They passed the Celtics for the 5th seed, and have the opportunity to be at the 4th spot, with a win over the Hawks on Wednesday. This is just a fun team to watch.

Possibly the most electric of them all, was the Islanders dismantling the Rangers, 6-1, at the Collesium. It was a full team effort from all ends of the ice.

Jordan Eberle and Jean-Gabriel Pageau each had a goal and an assist. Brock Nelson scored once, Josh Bailey scored twice, Anthony Beauvillier had a goal and three assists. Varlamov stopped a nice and cool 25 shots to help the Islanders win their second straight and seventh in the last. This wins pushes the Islanders to the top, and tied with the Caps for first in the East. This also hinders the Ranger's playoff hopes as well.

On this joyous 4-20, the New York wins were the perfect high. I can now go to bed in peace. Enjoy this beautiful mustache by Mike Ford. It's up to you, New York, New York. Bring in the dancing lobsters.
