Sunday Spreads Season 2, Volume 13: Who Can Salvage Their Season?

Welcome back to Sunday Spreads! As the regular season winds down, we've got several faces, both new and old, looking for big wins today to get closer to clinching those coveted playoff positions. While 26 teams duke it out today, you might as well try to cash in on their postseason pushes. Here are Tondo and I's picks for every game this Sunday.

Basel's 2022 ATS: 38-42-2 (3-3 Last Week)

Tondo's 2022 ATS: 43-32-6 (4-2 Last Week)

Basel's Week 13 Picks

1 PM Games

Jacksonville Jaguars at Detroit Lions

This line completely flipped towards the Lions this week, and that's honestly the right call. Take Detroit as the home favorite in what should be a sneaky fun game to watch this week.

Lions -1.5

New York Giants at Washington Commanders

If I take Commanders -2.5, they might give me a big hat, so that's where I'm laying my money today.

4 PM Games

Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams

Continuing one of the worst title defenses in recent history, the Rams enter this week without Matthew Stafford, as he works out a neck injury which should sideline him for the remainder of the season. As the Rams try to figure out what their offseason will look like, take a nice, easy Seahawks -6.5.

Miami Dolphins at San Francisco 49ers

I'm taking Dolphins +4.5 here. I could really see these two high-powered offenses forcing it to come down to a field goal, so taking the underdog is a safe bet here.

Los Angeles Chargers at Las Vegas Raiders

Avoid this one. Both teams are really rough right now, and I think a field goal will settle. Give me Raiders -2.5 in what should be an ugly bout.

Sunday Night Football

Indianapolis Colts at Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys are way too hot for me to take anything else but them against the spread. Indy's Monday Night performance may just solidify me never taking them again for the rest of the season.

Cowboys -14.5

Tondo's Week 13 Picks

1 PM Games

Pittsburgh Steelers at Atlanta Falcons

This Falcons team knows how to keep it close. Never really blown out, but never scoring a multitude of points. Both teams are mid, but the home team Atlanta has the slight advantage, and gave better ATS spread at home. Falcons +1

Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears

Aaron Rodgers owns Chicago. The QB is 23-5 in 28 starts with 63 touchdowns and only 10 interceptions. Despite any struggles with Green Bay, this matchup is a Packers -4.5 lock.

New York Jets vs. Minnesota Vikings

A 9-2 home team only a slight favorite against the New York Jets? The Mike White effect. That’s what happens when you toss three dimes in the week prior. This has to be a trap though, because this spread is alarmingly low. Give me Vikings-3.

Tennessee Titans vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Their record says otherwise but the Eagles have fallen back to Earth. 10-1, but 4-6-1 ATS. They win, but not convincingly. Tennessee is stringing together a nice little season, and surprisingly are 6-4-1 ATS, with 7 wins. I like the Titans + 4.5.

Denver Broncos vs. Baltimore Ravens

Russell Wilson has lost the locker room. The Broncos are hurt, and frankly, they’ve given up. Baltimore blew it last week, and have a hard time closing out games, but I’ll give the advantage to the home team. Ravens -9.

Cleveland Browns vs. Houston Texans

We’ve got the Deshaun Watson return game, and against his old team nevertheless. I don’t agree what he did, but spreads don’t care about that. Houston is on their way for a first overall pick, while the Browns looks to save their season. I think Watson goes off after a 2 year hiatus, so Browns -8.

4 PM Games

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Can anyone stop this Chiefs team? They are dominant as can be, and ready for another Super Bowl run. If the Bengals want to return to glory, today would be the game, but I just can’t see that happening. Chiefs -2.5
