Don't let the mainstream media read this blog. Supposedly, the Islanders "aren't supposed to be good". Last year was a "lucky COVID season". They are a boring team, "Barzal is the only good player". The Coli is a dump.

Well first off, congratulations for being a walking freezing cold take! The Islanders did the "unthinkable" and blew down the big-bad Boston Bruins in stylish fashion. It was a chess match of a series, but the Islanders came out on top, after a dominating 6-2 finish in-game, thanks to 23 saves by Varlamov and goals by Brock Nelson (2x), Travis Zajac, Cal Clutterbuck, Ryan Pullock, and Kyle Palmieri. What was wild is that the Islanders were the dogs (+115) at home against the Bruins (-140) for game 6. Are you kidding me? Are you not entertained?! That was free money! Neither here nor there, let's take a look at all of those Islanders Doubters.

To say the Coliseum was buzzing last night may be an understatement. It may be a dump, but it's OUR DUMP, and it lives to see another playoff series.
Taking my bias out of this, I find it funny how people are still sleeping on the New York Islanders. They have won six playoff series in the first three seasons under Trotz and GM Lou Lamoriello. They’re in the eastern conference finals back-to-back years under this brass as well. This team is built for the playoffs. Barry Trotz has won 6 playoff series since the Capitals let him go. Washington has won none. Overall, the Islanders continue to get slept on and now they are four wins away from the coveted Stanley Cup Finals.
- "The Islanders were supposed to get bounced by Crosby & the Penguins, they were the top seed!" .... (Isles win in 6)
- "The Bruins will destroy the Isle, Marchand-Bergeron-Pastrnak are unstoppable" (Isles win in 6)
- "All this to get bounced by Tampa in four? LOL" (TBD)
No more slander, no more BS. The Islanders are legit and they are ready to roll. The Lightning beat the Islanders in six games in the bubble in Edmonton last year, but it is a new year. Four wins away until the Stanley Cup Finals. Four more wins.... four more wins... Feed me Tampa!
