You gotta love how social media works. Two New England based podcasts (who talk about booze and sports) link up for an awesome show, in a collaboration that is worth the listen. On this weeks, "Beers, Business, and Balls" podcast, we've linked up with the exciting new duo of Sarah Griffin and Kendra Middleton to talk about their stories, some PLL previews and recaps, and highlighting two awesome women in the sports industry.
Sarah went to school for teaching and history, and knew early on it wasn't the right path for her. She started her own blog while at school, and started to grow during the 2018 World Series run for the Red Sox. An avid twitter personalty, Sarah knew something was working after her account began to skyrocket and her blogs were rolling. She shifted her focus to sports writing, freelancing and gaining experience through various outlets, which has led her to producing content for Lacrosse Flash and Pitcher's List.
Kendra has quite the sports and media resume, making stops at ESPN, Auburn University, UNH, and Barstool Sports. She interned on the West Coast for multiple pro-teams, and solidified the start of her sports career after covering the Stanley Cup and Super 50. Kendra is now a sideline reporter for NESN and Dirty Water Media.
In a modern-day love story, the duo met on Twitter and knew it was the perfect match. It didn't take long for the two Bostonians to decide what their project would be. With an idea in their head and both of their sports experience and passion backing the podcast, Saturdays n Seltzers was born. Their first guest? The 2019 PLL Championship MVP and Whipsnakes pro, Matt Rambo.
Both self-proclaimed PLL experts, we discuss this past weekend’s Chaos-Whipsnakes Championship game - full disclosure, we recorded before the game, so you are definitely allowed to @OldTakesExposed us.
We break down what’s next for the game of lacrosse, content creation, and even some baseball. Their interview comes in at around the 18:30 mark. Make sure to follow Sarah, Kendra, and their podcast on social media. Enjoy the show and cheers!
