For the 5th straight year, the Uconn Huskies are going dancing! The back-to-back National Champions enter the 2025 NCAA Tournament as an 8-seed this season with a 23-10 record. This streak is tied for the longest run in program history! Jim Calhoun took the Huskies to the tourney every year from 2002-2006, and Hugh Greer took them there from 1956-1960. The last team to three-peat was John Wooden's UCLA team, who won seven straight from 1967-1973.
UConn has won five of their last six games, and will face 9-seed Oklahoma, who has lost 9 of their last 14 games. In regards to playing the Sooners, Alex Karaban mentioned that the "SEC is a gauntlet".
Below is what the West bracket looks like. Notable teams include 1-seed Florida, who UConn could face if they beat Oklahoma. Big East rival St. John's is the 2-seed in the West. Dan Hurley, Rick Pitino, and John Calipari all in the same region. College Basketball is something special!

Dan Hurley spoke to the media on Sunday evening after the full bracket was unveiled. He talked a lot about how the pressure this team has played under all season. They've had to battle adversities all season long, whether that was injuries or the the 0-3 Maui trip. Hurley talked about how the defense has been a struggle for UConn and how over the next few days, that will be their main focus. Solo Ball and Alex Karaban both talked about their roles as leaders will grow in the NCAA Tournament to be veteran players, showing guys like Tarris Reed Jr and Liam McNeeley what means to play in March.
Dan Hurley said this to the media:
"We can change the narrative and the storyline from this season with this team by playing great this time of year."
The UConn Huskies will play Oklahoma on Friday at approximately 9:25 pm EST in Raleigh, North Carolina.
