This Week in the A-10 (2/15)

Another week, another game-changing performance in the Atlantic 10. Here's everything you may have missed this week in A-10 play, along with what it means for this upcoming week.

Bonnies sweep SLU, tear up the bubble Convo once more

Heading into last week, Saint Louis was poised to become the A-10 at-large representative with a solid 3-game win streak. On #FridA10, however, the Bonnies had other plans. In an incredibly physical game, Osun Osunniyi was able to overcome some early foul trouble and absolutely dominate whenever he was on the court, dropping 12 points, and leading the way on a 16-0 Bonnies run that would give them the lead for pretty much the entire game. While impressive, this run also had the purpose of digging the Bonnies out of a double-digit hole that occurred when Osunniyi was on the bench. In total, the Bonnies registered just 17 bench minutes in their Friday game against the Billikens, as well as just 11 on Monday. Yes, the Bonnies starting lineup is great, but again, their rotation is not something that can get them through an appearance in March Madness.

With this sweep, and Rhody's win over Davidson, the A-10 is a few big upsets away from once again being a one-bid league. Dayton is slowly creeping their way up the NET, but I think for them to truly enter the at-large convo, they need to almost win out, and make a huge run in the A-10 Tourney.
