Words of Wisdom, with Ed Brady; Rhode Island Entrepreneur and Owner of Thirsty Beaver.

If you are from the 401, then you definitely know this handsome fella, Mr. Ed Brady. He is a Rhode Island Entrepreneur and restaurateur, who is known for local spots like Hucks Filling Station and Thirsty Beaver. He also is the City Councilman for Ward 4. His slogan #PeopleBeforePolitics showcases the type of man Brady is. He is kind, he is generous, and he is always willing to do for the greater good. On top of running popular establishments across the state, he spends time giving back and helping the community in any way, shape, or form. From volunteering his time and setting up fundraisers, the world needs more Ed Brady's.

Our connection with him lies from the bonds of Sigma Chi Fraternity and the everlasting tie of the Bryant University Alumni Community. In honor of Ed Brady's birthday, we wanted to share with you his words of wisdom!

What's the best piece of advice you ever received that you would want others to hear?

Be kind for starters. Second, If you treat your life like currency, for example, you start each day with $100. If you surround yourself with people with positive energy, intelligent people, the people who always want to bring you up, then your currency goes up. When you're up, you get through the day, you are productive, and things feel good. If you surround yourself with negative people, your currency goes down. You get tired, you don't eat well, things aren't good. Continue to surround yourself with positive-minded people. Continue to re-educate yourself. Continue to be a better person, and ultimately that is how you build the best balance of a happy lifestyle."

We wish Ed the happiest of birthdays and we appreciate his dedication and support to the Rhode Island Community! The full episode of his appearance on the "Beers, Business, and Balls" podcast can be found below. Ed Brady's interview can be found at the 45:13 mark.

Cheers,

Will and Jake
